Eating Disorder & Perfectionism Therapy in St. Louis

You don’t owe anyone perfection. It’s time to connect to the joy of being you.

Your goal is developing confidence & self assurance, but lately you’ve noticed:

A woman with short hair, smiling and laughing, wearing a striped off-shoulder top, gold necklace, and earrings
  • it’s hard to check in with your intuition & you’re polling everyone ELSE about what’s best for YOU.

  • Your thoughts circle in an endless, anxious loop of what you can eat & when, leaving you feeling exhausted & isolated from friends & loved ones.

  • You hold yourself to impossibly high standards that you would never subject to friends or loved ones… & they just make you feel worse about yourself.

Or maybe you’ve realized…

A young woman with pink hair and vibrant makeup, smiling with eyes closed in bright sunlight.
  • Your hyper-focus on food & control, leads to out of control binge eating...  which then just leads to more focus on food and restriction.

  • You’re measuring your self worth compared to unattainable standards in an effort to achieve more & please everyone, regardless of how exhausting it may be.

Sound Familiar? I have good news:

We can embrace imperfection… together!

Hi, I ’m Emily

(She/her/hers)

Emily Lombardo, of Emily Lombardo Counseling, is pictured as a woman who stands smiling with long wavy brown hair on a sidewalk with brick buildings and trees in the background.

As a recovering people pleaser & fellow human being, I understand the anxiety & exhaustion of chasing perfection firsthand. When there are endless opportunities to compare & scroll, sometimes we need space to be still & connect with the joy of being ourselves.

I provide perfectionism & eating disorder therapy for teens & young adults in St. Louis who are ready for experiences that exist just outside their comfort zone, but want support as they work towards meaningful change. If you’ve ever felt like perfectionism is keeping you stuck, struggled with healthy boundaries, or wanted a better relationship to food and body image, it’s time to do something about it. My clients walk away from therapy with me empowered to reject arbitrary societal standards, find trust in their bodies, & build lives they love.
